David is a PhD student in the Machine Learning Group supervised by Professor Carl Edward Rasmussen. He started in October 2018. He received his BA from Williams College, majoring in mathematics, in 2017 and MPhil in Machine Learning Speech and Language technology from the Cambridge University Engineering Department in 2018. He is funded by the Williams College Herchel Smith fellowship and Qualcomm innovation fellowship. His interests are in approximate Bayesian inference, particularly variational inference.
