PERSONAL WEBSITE

Richard Bergna is a first-year PhD student in the Cambridge Machine Learning Group (CBL), supervised by Professor José Miguel Hernández-Lobato. His research focuses on uncertainty quantification in machine learning, with particular interest in deep learning and decision-making under uncertainty.

Previously, Richard completed his MPhil in Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence (MLMI) at the University of Cambridge ( https://www.mlmi.eng.cam.ac.uk/ ). His dissertation involved working with Professor Hernández-Lobato and Professor Pietro Liò on uncertainty modeling in Graph Neural Networks, as detailed in this paper: https://arxiv.org/abs/2408.16115 . He also holds a First Class Honours BEng in Engineering Mathematics from the University of Bristol.
