I am Saeyeon, a research assistant from France at the Nox Lab under the supervision of Flavia. Our project focuses on statistical learning and decision-making in patients suffering from chronic pain. The approaches we use combine modeling, behavioral analysis and neuroimaging methods. I hold an M.Eng. in Applied Mathematics, Data science from ENSAE-Institut Polytechnique of Paris, an M.S. in Cognitive Science from ENS Paris/UPC (Cogmaster) and a Master in Management from HEC Paris. More broadly, my interests include (i) understanding the relationship between brain function —particularly in decision-making— and structure across different levels, and how these influence behavior, by using tools from engineering, statistics and physics (ii) the methodological aspects in neuroscience, especially related to novel machine-learning approaches, (iii) translational research, particularly in the field of psychiatry. In my free time, I enjoy watching and acting in plays, as well as playing music !
